My client Muscular Dystrophy Foundation is seeking to establish a new team consisting of an experienced Fundraising Manager, a part-time Event Manager as well as an Executive Assistant to the CEO. The Fundraising Manager is a key position with this exciting National Not-For-Profit organisation supporting people with disabilities, in an exciting growth phase. Working with a  highly motivated, small professional team, the National body, Muscular Dystrophy Foundation has embarked upon a program of growth using a fresh approach designed to:

  • Raise awareness and understanding of neuromuscular disorders

  • Facilitate advocacy on behalf of the families and children who live with a neuromuscular condition

  • Make a real difference to the quality of life of people who have a neuromuscular condition and their families

  • Significantly increase the Foundations support base, and raise its profile

  • Ensure financial sustainability and growth to enable the Foundation to achieve its potential

We seek a key person to report to the CEO, and be located in a very accessible, modern office in York Street, Sydney CBD.

 

Key Elements of the Role:

  • Identify and implement strategies to nurture and strengthen loyalty of existing donors leading to increases in levels of giving and lifetime value

  • Identify major gift donors and potential regular donors and recognise their giving levels appropriately encouraging continued and increased giving

  • Identify and engage new individuals and organisations with capacity and desire to support Muscular Dystrophy Foundation

  • Identify appropriate relationship marketing and communication activity

  • Manage donor and supporter giving and fundraising database

  • Write grant applications for foundations, trusts and government departments

  • Prepare media releases

  • Develop exciting opportunities utilising media and the entertainment industry

  • Liaise with third party event organisers on behalf of Muscular Dystrophy Foundation
